LOVE VS SEX
A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn’t afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe ...from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God’s protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, “Because she wasn’t alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.” Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you’re never alone.

五条件参与选举改革特委会
民联今日列出5大先决条件，以便参与首相纳吉建议设立的选举改革国会特选委员会。
民联列出的其中一项条件就是要求朝野一齐定夺全国大选的日期，好让有关特委会有充裕的时间履行职务。
民联今日在回教党总部召开记者会，回教党副主席沙拉胡丁说：“第13届全国大选的日期应该根据国阵与民联的共识定夺。换言之，解散国会必须获得国阵与民联的同意。”
出席有关记者会的民联领袖包括公正党副主席努鲁依莎、社青团总团长陆兆福等人。
沙拉胡丁指出，上述要求并非前所未闻，尤其是在民主的社会里。
“例如，英国的保守派与自由民主派一起决定下届大选日期，然后提呈上国会，让所有人知道来届大选日期。”
民联其他4项条件是：
- 把净选盟2.0的8个诉求列入特委会的探讨范围。
- 给予特委会充裕的时间完成任务。
- 把外国人变公民的课题纳入调查范围。
- 政府必须执行特委会的一切建议。
五项条件缺一不可
沙拉胡丁指出，民联将会尽快致函给首相，以提出上述5个条件，并预料将在下季国会于10月3日开会前获得答复。
“至于我们加入特委会与否，我们提出了5个条件要求首相务必保证。”
“就算少了一项保证，我们也不会加入特委会，以显示政府有意愿及认真在来届大选前落实选举改革。”
愿意合作改革选举
他表示，民联愿意在选举改革问题上给予合作，并拒绝揣测纳吉是否会答应上述条件。
“距离2003年3月8日解散国会，我们还有时间。如果纳吉是真心要求选举改革，我们还有时间，因此无需急着解散国会。”
“如果有需要修改宪法，我们准备在国会给予合作。”
“请回答，好让我们决定（是否加入特委会）。”
对于特委会的工作，努鲁依莎则希望，政府与在野党能够更加密切合作。
“至今我们只是从新闻获取消息，并没有直接的讨论。我们希望伸出合作之意，希望（首相署部长）纳兹里可以直接联络我们。”

My comments:
我认为大选日期是不需要的在野党的同意而进行的。其实也不应该交由首相决定。而是应该修订宪法，不须首相的意见，最高元首可以自行决定大选日期。这样就能采取权利只落于国会的情况。加强了三权分立甚至四权分立的情况。
即使不能如此，也不应该把政府权力与反对党的权利等同化。既然宪法赋予政府决定权，那就让政府决定便是。因马来西亚还没取得两线制，现在采用英国政党的方法是不合时宜的。因现在还是一党独大的政治情景而反对党是否能执政非常值得怀疑。最近我国最大的反对党 - 民联，还是破不了宗教主义的限制。也没有共同的意向。比如说，回教党对基层承诺首相与副首相一定是回教徒。这样的承诺是否得到了其他两党的同意？这也证明了宗教主义的存在。在雪州的事件就是一个很好的例子。民联在得到许多基督徒的支持下，在这件事件之后，又还有多少基督徒还会支持民联呢？我们拭目以待。
至于不够时间预备的情况，可以提议修改宪法，把大选日期与宣布大选日期的时间拉长。这样就可以有充分的时间预备了。
